چکیده

Gestational diabetes is a glucose intolerance level first identified during pregnancy. This condition caused by hormone secretion that hinders insulin action from the placenta which resistance will cause hyperglycemia. increase oxidative stress, and in consequence increasing inflammation cell death can hinder fetal growth development. Salacca zalacca peel food waste contains antioxidants anti-inflammatory properties. research aimed to study effect of SZ ethanolic extract expression IL-1β marker (BAX Apaf-1) 3% induced zebrafish embryo. Glucose metabolism measured Phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase (PEPCK) at age 3 dpf. The PEPCK, IL-1β, Bax, Apaf-1 using reverse transcriptase PCR (RT-PCR) method. given concentration 0,1; 0,2; 0,4 mg/mL. result this proves PEPCK decreases group was 3%. significantly Bax mg/mL, also able decrease with most closely resemble negative control In conclusion, protects gestational through Apaf-1.

The role of noggin in regulation of high glucose-induced apoptosis and insulin secretion in INS-1 rat beta cells

Objective(s):The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Noggin on high glucose-induced apoptosis and insulin secretion in pancreatic beta cells. Materials and Methods: Different concentrations of glucose were used to examine their effects on INS-1 rat beta cells in vitro. When specific siRNA targeting Noggin and recombinant Noggin were added, apoptosis and insulin secretion wer...

Effects of baicalein on IL-1β-induced inflammation and apoptosis in rat articular chondrocytes

In osteoarthritis (OA), activated synoviocytes and articular chondrocytes produce pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as IL-1β, that promote chondrocyte apoptosis and activate the NF-κB signaling pathway to induce catabolic factors. In this study, we examined the anti-inflammatory and anti-apoptotic effect of baicalein on IL-1β signaling and NF-κB-regulated gene products in rat chondrocytes. Rat c...

Padina arborescens extract protects high glucose-induced apoptosis in pancreatic β cells by reducing oxidative stress

BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES This study investigated whether Padina arborescens extract (PAE) protects INS-1 pancreatic β cells against glucotoxicity-induced apoptosis. MATERIALS/METHODS Assays, including cell viability, lipid peroxidation, generation of intracellular ROS, NO production, antioxidant enzyme activity and insulin secretion, were conducted. The expressions of Bax, Bcl-2, and caspase-3 p...
